Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Alarm Regulations 2022

Last week, the Smoke and Carbon Monoxide amendment was approved in the house of commons. Updated regulations now mean it is mandatory for all Landlords to: Ensure a carbon monoxide alarm is provided in each room used as living accommodation which contains a fixed combustion appliance (excluding gas cookers).   All landlords will be legally obligated to ensure smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms are repaired or replaced once they are informed and the alarms are found to be faulty.   The updated regulations will come into force from the 1st October 2022. Landlords found to be in breach of the regulations […]

Parks Predictions for 2022

During the final days of 2021, The Argus sought out many optimist Brightonians’ who are ‘hopeful that 2022 will be full of hope and promise’[1]. Certainly, we can agree that the year has got off to a good start. So far, 2022 has hit the ground running by already smashing world records and setting us up for an incredible year ahead. Merry Christmas from Parks!

The first layers of frost have crept into our early morning routines. Icy smoke loops around our faces as we speak, and the seafront blows an almighty chill. Similar to the speed of the summer market, properties continue to fly off our lists with tenants still actively searching for their new home. While in previous years, agencies often find tenants can present a slower pace as the seasons change, however, the same cannot be said for the current market at all. All of our advertised properties maintain high levels of interest […]

Local Vs Corporate – Spot the (Many) Difference(s)

Walking through busy food markets in central London, you’ll find hundreds of stalls grafting hard for their customers attention. Above the stalls, often, advertisements include phrases such as ‘homemade’, ‘freshly prepared’ or ‘local goods’ enticing hungry onlookers to choose them above the rest. Once a decision has been made, we get to enjoy watching the chef create the final product right before our eyes, allowing for personalised adjustments to be made to the order along the way. To continue with the theme of food, one of the finer and more memorable dining out experiences is often recounted as physically being […]
