Renting with Parks

We have been letting to professionals in the Brighton and Hove area since 1992 . We understand our tenants' letting needs and pride ourselves on the dedication of our in-house property management team who offer support throughout the duration of tenancies.

The letting and property management process

Our focus is to help tenants find their ideal property quickly and support a stress-free tenancy.

Property viewing

Once you have a property in mind a member of the Parks team will arrange to meet you there and show you around. With vast letting experience in Brighton, Hove and the surrounding areas, such as Shoreham and Lewes, we can offer local information relevant to your property of interest.

Should you require advice on alternative options we will recommend other available properties. We can also add you to our property alert listing. As competition for the best quality properties in and around Brighton is strong, we aim to put your application forward to the landlord as soon as you have declared interest.

Moving in day

On the big move in day a member of the Parks team will be at the property to greet you. We offer a full guide of your new home from operating the boiler and location of utility meters. All new tenants will need to agree to the property inventory and condition. Our Welcome Pack includes essential property information and all required contact details. Once all legal documentation is signed we hand over the keys.

Property management

Once a tenancy has begun, a member of our in-house Property Management team will be dedicated to looking after you and the property. We will handle any questions regarding the property, liaising with contractors and the landlord as and when required. If a landlord would like to handle communication with tenants directly we will provide all of the relevant contact details.

Renewing or ending your tenancy

Parks review all tenancies around 3 months before the agreed expiry date. This allows time to process any negotiated changes from tenant and landlord such as rental increases, tenancy term or property maintenance. Should a tenant or landlord wish to end the tenancy we guide you through the process of what is required from the tenant’s side.

TENANT SERVICES

Transparent fees

Recent changes mean all letting agents are required to be entirely transparent with fees by law. It is something we have always been open about and are proud to offer the fairest fees in the area.

As new landlords last year, my husband and I were recommended to Parks through the sole estate agent we use. We have had nothing but a positive experience in that time. Antony the Letting Director has always been on hand to investigate, inform and advise. He has happily come along to view properties we were interested in and pass opinion accordingly. None of our requests have been dismissed and nothing has been too much trouble. Communication is efficient and legal and procedural knowledge and policy has been tip-top. The lettings management team has always been quick to respond and as a result, our tenants seem happy too, which is also important.
